Happy Life Recipe

Happy Life Recipe

Take a large quantity of cheerfulness and let it simmer without stopping.  Put with it a brimming basinful of kindness, then add a full measure of thoughtfulness for other people.  Mix into these a heaping tablespoon of sympathy.  Flavor with the essence of charity.  Stir well together, and then carefully strain off any particles of selfishness.  Put in smiles as thick as raisins in plum pudding, and bake by the warmth which streams from a loving heart.

Happy Thanksgiving To You

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I am hoping today you will find the time to spend with your families and enjoy all we have been given and all we have to be thankful for.

I feel for the ones who have to be in the retail stores working today, what has our country come to. When I was younger i never remember people going to shop on Thanksgiving, you were lucky to find a store open to get something you may have forgotten. We will be simply enjoying our day and will not be in the stores shopping today. Will you be out shopping today?

Have a wonderful day and don't eat too much turkey!

Mail Call~How Exciting

I received my first product in the mail yesterday from Crowd Tap do review. How excited was I to get a package in the mail.

Now I couldn't wait to open the package, even though I already knew what was inside. I am excited to try out the Scott Naturals Tube Free, as it would be wonderful to save our environment without sacrificing quality. there are over 17 billion toilet paper tubes thrown away each year, that's enough to fill the Empire State building.

I will be sure to let you know exactly what I think of the tubeless rolls as soon as we try them out. We are looking forward to giving them a try and I will give a roll to my daughter as well to try.

Do you enjoy trying new products? What new ones have you tried?

Fall Festivities

The fall festivities have come and gone already for the year, but we made wonderful memories. We enjoyed a few places.

One of our favorites each year is apple picking we have such a good time with my husband's side of the family. My grandson loves to go apple picking, he waits for it.

He loves this trip they have all kinds of fun stuff, candy, pony rides and even a little play ground area. These next few pictures are a few of his favorite spots there at the White House Fruit Farm.

Even plenty of goodies while you are there, popcorn, you can make your own caramel apples, with various toppings, our favorite is the rock ice. And they have the best house baked donuts.

More about our other adventures in the next blog post.

Antiquing at the Shops

We had a wonderful time yesterday at a few of our local antique shops. You can find the most clever items, whether it be rustic, vintage, retro whatever the style you are into you can surely find. We have a few great thrift shops around also that you can always find wonderful items at.

I am a girl with a passion for vintage items, I love Pyrex and will collect all I can find, especially the older Pyrex.

I try to get the girls to go with me to the shops and such, but they don't seem too interest as of yet. I have many items I will share with you over time, some of my prized items.

From The Side Of the Road

From the side of the road I found this wonderful window. When I saw it I knew there was something I would be able to use it for, so of course I picked it up. It sat around for a few months, until my niece said lets paint something Christmas like on this window. So away we went with it.

A snowman with some snowflakes was what the re-purposed window became. So what do you think, does it need something else or do you like it as it is?

Do you enjoy re-purposing items into something special?

Sunday Funday

Good morning on this beautiful Sunday. It is a bit warmer here today, We had a few days of terribly freezing temperatures. The wind chills were near zero, the howling wind just went straight through you. We don't really have much planned for today as a family, my youngest daughter will be babysitting for our oldest daughter so she can get some Christmas shopping done.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I have not really started yet, I am late this year.

Have you started putting up Christmas decorations yet, we usually wait until after Thanksgiving to get them out.

I f we eventually get enough snow we can go sledding, my grandson love to go out in the snow.
